Why Read This Book
This board book has been part of our home library since my kiddo was a wee one. It’s a sweet, dear little book with perfectly written rhymes. So many nights I read this book to him before bed. It’s still on his shelf, even though he is quite the older boy now. And believe it or not, I still read it at times to my now teenager 😊.
I highly recommend this board book for baby and toddler libraries, and as a read-aloud before nap or bed time.
In fall 2023 I read an article by Rory Feek about “speaking love into our children” (see Plain Values Magazine, the October 2023 issue). In the article he talked about speaking directly to our children about the love we feel for them, and about how important they are to the world. This little book does this “speaking love” action with its words. The repetition of a child hearing it read to them night after night, will help to instill in them that they are loved and they are important.
