Sunday, October 4, 2026 – 10:00am to 4:00pm (please note the sale closes at 4pm on Sunday)

Note that Thursday, October 1 is a Homeschool Day at Discovery Park Ohio (located next door to our farm). Admission that day is half-price.

About the Books You’ll Find at the Sale

At Beehive Books and Art we stock books that are particularly attractive to home schooling families.

Many of the books in my inventory are picture books, chapter books, and biographies that are used in homeschool curriculums.

I also specialize in field guides, books about how to homeschool, homesteading books, and I have some curriculum.

Most of my inventory is used. I carefully source the best in children’s books, some of which are vintage and/or rare. I only sell used books in very good condition. This means books will have no torn pages or broken bindings and the pages are free of marks plus my paperbacks are typically not trade copies so their pages will not be yellow/brown or brittle.

I have approximately 1,000 books for sale.

Location and Parking

Sale Location:

Our Family’s Farm, newly named Willowstead Farm (note there’s no sign or website yet for the farm)
7640 Lafayette Rd, Lodi, OH 44254

The sale will be in the building we affectionately call The Big Barn. It will be easy to find!

Parking and Traffic Advisory: The farm is located on Rt 42 about three miles north of Lodi, OH. We have parking for 4-5 vehicles in our driveway or enter the driveway for Discovery Park Ohio (immediately next door to us) and park on the grass or in the Discovery Park lot. Be aware that there is a passing zone in front of our farm and Discovery Park. Use care pulling into and exiting the driveway.

Questions and FYI’s

What payment methods are accepted?

We love to support the cash economy! Sales made via Cash or Goldbacks earn a 5% discount. Debit and credit cards also accepted :).

How many books will be for sale?

My best guess is about 1,000. I did a rough count and that is pretty accurate. I might find even more books between now and then!

What if my kids go to public or private school – is this still a good book sale for us?

Yes! Absolutely! I only mention homeschoolers because those families are constantly on the lookout for books that they need. If you love books then I am pretty sure you’ll enjoy this sale.
