I Kissed the Baby! is a classic that has been entertaining babies for 20 years.
I think I read this story to my own little one about a thousand times. He requested it basically every night for three years (which would equal a thousand nights of reading it).

Why Read This Book
- The story is very sweet.
- It features a lot of the words a baby or young child may hear people say.
- It’s a book that will grow with your child. We were still reading it five years later. Funny story – I eventually gave away our copy (because I was trying to keep the books from overrunning our house). In the end we missed it and bought another copy!
- If I was going to buy just one book for a baby, the book I would buy is this one.
- This books contains one an Easter Egg. Easter Eggs show up in some children’s books and they can be really fun to discover. The Easter Egg for I Kissed the Baby! is that a darling font was specifically designed by the author/illustrator just for this book. You can read all about it in the copyright details.
School Library Journal gave this book a starred review and calls it:
“An ideal book for little eyes and ears.”
